Our Mission
Lighthouse Behavioral Health Mission
Choosing where to start treatment often comes down to trust, and trust starts with knowing what a provider stands for. At Lighthouse Behavioral Health Solutions, it begins with a simple idea: “substance use disorder treatment is more than just recovery; it’s individuals living and thriving again.” That’s the Lighthouse Behavioral Health mission in one line, and it shapes how we deliver care here.

The Values Behind Every Decision
Four values anchor how Lighthouse’s clinical and admissions teams operate: honesty, caring, teamwork, and excellence.
- Honesty shows up as straight conversations about what a level of care can and can’t do for you.
- Caring is apparent in the day-to-day tone of your care. You’re treated as someone to be seen and supported, not judged.
- Teamwork emerges in how closely your clinical team coordinates internally, and with your family (if you want them involved).
- Excellence means the standard of care doesn’t drop because a program is full or a day is busy.
An Evidence-Based, Individualized Approach
At Lighthouse, we describe our care as evidence-based, and the label means something specific. The National Institute of Mental Health notes that integrated treatment, addressing substance use and any co-occurring mental health condition together, leads to better outcomes because the two often share underlying causes and worsen each other when only one is treated. That’s consistent with how Lighthouse builds a treatment plan. A clinical assessment during intake shapes your mix of therapies, which might include group and individual counseling, medication-assisted treatment, or psychiatric care for a co-occurring diagnosis.
NAMI estimates that 17 million U.S. adults in 2020 experienced both a mental illness and a substance use disorder, which is part of why Lighthouse doesn’t treat those as two separate intake processes. If you’re managing both, your care team addresses both.
Removing Barriers To Care
Part of the Lighthouse mission is removing the barriers that sit between someone and the care they need, and that shows up in small operational choices as much as big ones. Reaching out by phone or a confidential form doesn’t commit you to anything.
Insurance verification is handled by our admissions team. NAMI has documented how uneven access to mental health and substance use treatment still is nationally, which is exactly the kind of gap Lighthouse is bridging at the community level with locations across Central Ohio.

Accredited Care You Can Trust
Lighthouse holds CARF accreditation and LegitScript certification, two of the more meaningful third-party checks in behavioral health. CARF accreditation means an outside body has reviewed the organization’s programs against a set of quality and safety standards. LegitScript certification does something similar for online legitimacy and compliance. Neither is required to open a treatment facility, so maintaining both signals how seriously Lighthouse takes accountability.
Let Us Light Your Path to Recovery
If this approach sounds like the kind of care you or someone you love needs, the next step is a conversation. Our admissions team can walk through your options and answer questions about how this approach may fit your situation.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does “evidence-based” mean at Lighthouse?
It means treatment decisions are grounded in approaches backed by clinical research, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and medication-assisted treatment, rather than one fixed program every client goes through.
Do you treat mental health conditions alongside addiction, or just addiction?
Both, when needed. Lighthouse’s approach treats co-occurring mental health conditions and substance use disorders together rather than as two separate problems, which research from NIMH and NAMI both point to as more effective.
How is my treatment plan personalized?
It starts with a clinical assessment during intake covering your medical history, substance use history, and treatment goals. That assessment, not a fixed program length or format, determines your mix of therapies and level of care.
What if I’m reaching out for someone else, not myself?
That’s common, and Lighthouse’s admissions line takes those calls regularly. The team can share information about programs and how to support someone who may not be ready to reach out yet.
